SOLAR PUMP SYSTEMS
Clean, Reliable Solar Water Pumping for Irrigation and Community Water Supply
DOBEAM Energies Ltd provides solar pumping solutions designed for agriculture, irrigation, livestock, domestic water supply, and community water projects. We design and supply systems according to the required water flow, pumping head, water source, application, and site conditions.
MOBILE AND FIXED SOLAR PUMP SYSTEMS
Mobile Solar Pump Systems
Our mobile systems are designed for farmers and irrigation service providers who need flexibility. Solar panels and pumping equipment can be mounted on a mobile structure or trolley, allowing the system to be moved between farms, water sources, and secure storage locations.
Ideal for:
- Smallholder farmers
- Micro-entrepreneur irrigation services
- Multiple farms using one pumping system
- Seasonal irrigation
- PAYGO irrigation services
Fixed Solar Pump Systems
Fixed systems are permanently installed at a specific water source and are suitable where continuous or long-term water pumping is required.
Ideal for:
- Large farms
- Commercial irrigation
- Boreholes
- Community water supply
- Schools, institutions and livestock watering
- Rural water projects
SURFACE AND SUBMERSIBLE SOLAR PUMPS
Surface Solar Pumps
Surface pumps are installed above the water source and are suitable where the water can be accessed through shallow wells, rivers, dams, tanks, ponds, or other accessible sources.
They are particularly useful where high water volumes and relatively lower pumping heads are required.
Submersible Solar Pumps
Submersible pumps are installed inside boreholes or deep water sources. They are suitable where water must be lifted from significant depths and where higher pumping heads are required.
The correct pump is selected from the actual flow-head performance curve, rather than simply selecting a pump based on its horsepower or maximum head.
HIGH-FLOW AND HIGH-HEAD SOLAR PUMPING
Different water applications require different pump characteristics.
High-Flow Systems are designed to move large volumes of water where the pumping head is relatively moderate. They are commonly used for surface water irrigation, reservoirs, rivers and large agricultural fields.
High-Head Systems are designed to lift water over greater vertical distances. They are commonly used for deep boreholes, elevated tanks, long-distance water transfer and community water supply.
At DOBEAM, pump selection is based on the required duty point — flow rate at the required Total Dynamic Head (TDH) — including elevation, pipe friction, fittings and required delivery pressure.
SOLAR PUMPING FOR DIFFERENT IRRIGATION METHODS
Flood / Furrow Irrigation
Solar pumping can supply large volumes of water for flood or furrow irrigation. This method generally requires high water flow, although the required pressure may be relatively low.
Sprinkler Irrigation
Sprinkler systems require both adequate flow and pressure to operate the sprinklers effectively. Pump and solar-system sizing therefore considers the required operating pressure as well as elevation and pipe losses.
Drip Irrigation
Drip irrigation normally uses much less water than flood irrigation and can provide efficient water application directly to the crop root zone. The pumping system is selected according to the required flow, pressure, filtration and distribution network.
The right irrigation method depends on the crop, soil, farm size, water availability, terrain and farmer’s investment capacity.
SYSTEM QUALITY, STANDARDS AND WARRANTY
DOBEAM is committed to supplying reliable, safe and durable solar pumping systems.
Our systems are selected and configured according to recognized technical requirements for:
- Solar modules and electrical equipment
- Pump and motor performance
- Electrical protection and system safety
- Proper earthing and surge protection
- Water-pumping performance
- Appropriate cable and pipe sizing
- Installation and commissioning
- Site-specific operating conditions
Each project is assessed according to its intended application and site conditions. Product warranties are provided according to the applicable manufacturer and DOBEAM warranty terms, with the warranty period clearly stated in the customer’s quotation, contract or system documentation.
THE DOBEAM 60-DISTRICT SOLAR WATER PROGRAM
DOBEAM Energies Ltd is developing a 60-District Solar Water Program aimed at expanding access to affordable solar-powered water pumping across Tanzania.
The program is designed to support the deployment of solar pumping solutions for:
Farmers • Irrigation Entrepreneurs • Commercial Agriculture • Villages • Livestock Keepers • Institutions • Community Water Projects
Through this program, DOBEAM seeks to establish a scalable network of solar water-pumping solutions that can reduce dependence on diesel pumping, lower operating costs, improve water access and strengthen climate-resilient agriculture and rural development.
FROM WATER SOURCE TO PRODUCTIVITY
Assess → Design → Supply → Install → Commission → Finance → Support
DOBEAM provides an integrated approach from site assessment and pump selection to solar-system design, installation, financing, training and after-sales support.
